How often do you get trade proposals from your fans that you actually like? Maybe it’s just me, but it’s kind of frustrating watching an entire episode all about trades that would never happen. I’m sure it’s fun for you to grade trades. But from an entertainment standpoint, kinda feels like a waste of my time. I love 99% of your episodes though!

This homestand probably will not go well tbh. The Ms have already been thumped pretty handily by the Twins and the Orioles already once this year

The team can pretty much only win at home so we have win every single home series I feel

I'll be at the game Saturday. Expecting Julio to uncork his jack sauce, predicting he goes 6/14 in the series with 3 jacks and 2 doubles. Saturday, he's gonna rope a double first AB, and then demolish a nasty 440ft 2nd deck pulled CRANK second AB. Then he's gonna strike out twice. :D haha.

The one potential huge advantage facing the BlueJays is even with the rainout last night they will stlll be playing in Seattle games 15,16,17 of a 17 game stretch with only last nights rainout in Boston being mostly off. They also play the Astros for 4 games before the Mariners series, which likely will tax their bullpen. FWIW, the Orioles also play 29 out of 30 days before the off day Monday in Seattle. Glad with today off and Monday, the Mariners have days off to their advantage for a change.

What are your thoughts on a trade for Gleyber Torres, his value is really low right now and I believe he needs a change of scenery and get away from the NY media. He could be a solution for the 2b problem.

The line-up is frankly scary looking at the stat line positions. The old school grades follow: Catcher - (B) Cal 1B - (D) need more production from this position 2B - (C-) Bliss, Moore, and Polanco 3B - (B) defensive hiccups and more production from this position needed. 15 RBI's isn't acceptable. SS - (D) basically the same stat line as 3B OF - Julio (D) Raley (B) the rest (D) New additions - (D) Polanco, Garver, Haniger, and Raley....Raley has been the best thus far in contributions. Pitching staff - (B+) what keeps it from an A? Inconsistent relivers. Looking at the stats be prepared to buckle up. Jerry & Justin - (B) They went out and tried to fill up the needs, yet the players are not playing to the baseball card stats. Things will get interesting the deeper we go into the season. Can we hold onto first place? Will we make trades? Are they willing to give up prospects? You gotta pay to get.

Could you dissect julios swing? He just seems to be off balance, lunging forward and swining down but was hopityou guys could actually break it down fundamentally

"Crisis averted"? 🤣Come on man. One game where they scored 5 runs on 5 hits and struck out 13 times didn't suddenly fix their trash lineup.

David Sims....ugh. Going on and on about what he called a great at bat by Julio to draw a walk to set the stage for Cal's bomb. He kept going on about it even innings later. In truth the at bat was typical Julio and he was bailed out by a pitcher than threw enough pitches SO FAR out of the zone for even Julio to offer at that he got walked. At one -point in the at bat he had seen 6 or 7 pitches and 2 of them were strikes yet the count was 1-2. First pitch typical swinging at a pitch well off the plate inside that he seemingly can't lay off all year. Later in the at bat fouled a pitch in the same location off his leg. He just doesn't seem to understand how to work a count and understand that hitters have more success while ahead in the count rather than constantly behind. He seems to be 0-2 every other at bat. Cal showed him after his walk....layed off pitches out of the zone to get a 3-1 hitters count that he pounded for the 3 run HR.

The way Julio holds his bat straight up it seems like it is hard for him to get so he could pull the ball with some lift. His swing appears to be in a downward direction most of the time.

You just have to survive until the all-star break with guys like Munoz.

Only 4 or 5(?) pitchers in mlb history have retired with a k/9 over 10. The Ms batting currently have a K/9 over 10. 3 of the past 4 seasons in the bottom 5 league wide. Including 2nd worst last year and dead last this year. "Control the Zone" P.s. you don't wanna know what the Astros k/9 is, but it's the reason they're gonna do what they always do come October.

Interesting thing with the schedule, we don't need to worry about filling in for Woo until July 6th at the earliest. With an off day tomorrow, Castillo could pitch on normal rest this Sunday, and then because of a day off Monday you could have Kirby go Tuesday on extra rest. Logan would then go Wednesday on normal rest and Miller could do Thursday the 4th on normal rest. Castillo would then be able to pitch the 5th on normal rest. After that you'd only need 1 more fill in day on July 12th if Woo isn't ready to come back from the IL. It might be nice to get Castillo extra rest, but they don't necessarily have to if he feels okay going on the 30th.

Can Julio be sent down? If so, should they consider doing it to get his head right? This isn't a slow start, this is just a bad year. We're over halfway through the season and he's rocking an 89 OPS+

Julio 0-3 again. Think that o for his last 17. Just pathetic send him down. I cringe when he gets to the plate

I think the positive spin with Munoz is he seemed to find his velocity and location (mostly) before plunking Paredes. Good move to take him out but it just looked like a situation where it took him a bunch of pitches to get his feel. Just always unfortunate to have that happen when you are trying to close out a game. Rare for him and looked a bit like the Brewers game. I think he'll come back much sharper next time!

The overall problem with Miller is when he can up he was sitting 97ish and has drastically dropped the last two seasons in velo. This is a big problem, there aren’t many pitchers that are long term successful with a 92-93 fastball

To me this team is not fun to watch. At all. I like offense. I do like winning, but man these guys STRIKE OUT A LOT. Great starting pitching will only go so far.

This Mariner club is destined to miss the playoffs this season. The lack of offensive firepower is stunning. As a lifelong fan, I don’t ever remember feeling this bad about the team when they’re in first place in the division.

Seasons over. Too many holes and not enough management to fix it. Good free agents don’t want to come here, why? It’s because Stanton and the ownership group don’t care about winning. But they’ll shove another bobble head down our throats and we will be happy to choke on it. Seasons over. Astros will catch us before the all star break. We will be an after thought for the playoffs come August. There’s not enough talent available on the trade market to fix this mess. We will be sellers at the deadline. Wait and see.

My opinion has changed over the last couple of weeks. I have warmed up to the idea of adding Pete Alonso. If the Mariners look to do that (platoon Garver (RH) /Raleigh (LH) and make Alonso the DH they should ask about Luis Severino as well. He could be the #5 SP or go to the bullpen and pitch in the 6th-8th.

Great show!!! You guys always help me keep things in perspective. I know we can't always look at things in a vacuum but in December I would have been thrilled to be 4.5 up in the last week of June. As long as they add some serious pieces I think this team can be ok.
